MdTL's Book Fair: Wednesday, April 18 & Thursday, April 19th!
MdTL's beloved Book Fair returns to the Sanctuary.
In addition to purchasing books for your family during the fair, our wonderful teachers have selected books that they "wish" will be purchased during the book fair and donated back to the classroom. This special purchase is a fantastic way to give back to the school and teachers, and serves as a great memory of your child's attendance in that classroom. Our sponsor, Book Passage, will generously donate 15-20% of the proceeds to our school.

The Parent Association (PA) of MdTL serves to build community through education and social events and provides a resource for parents to get involved and stay connected. We are fortunate to have a very active and diverse parent body that understands the importance of supporting the school, sharing their unique talents and connecting with other families.
The PA oversees several events throughout the year which give the families of MdTL an opportunity to come together as a community. We also hold periodic educational and informational meetings. In addition, the PA helps facilitate and support the transition to MdTL for new families and becomes a resource by providing information on how to become involved in supporting the distinct and rich environment at the school.
We strive to give our parent body ample opportunity to develop strong personal relationships that are integral to the success of the school.
The Parent Association welcomes you and invites you to get involved! Read more about our annual events and volunteer opportunities or tell us how you are interested in getting involved!

Holiday Party- Friday, December 8, 2017
Our annual Holiday Party is a great way to kick off the holiday season in a fun and festive atmosphere. Held in the evening, this parents-only event provides a nice opportunity to meet and mingle with both parents and staff of the school. Come toast the season with a glass of wine or a warm mug of spiced apple cider, hearty appetizers and the great company of our MdTL community.
Pancake Breakfast- Saturday, February 10, 2018
Pancake Breakfast = Fun! This gathering is fun for kids and parents alike and has become a bright spot in the middle of winter for our families. Many volunteers organize, shop for and prepare a fabulous breakfast feast for our entire MdTL community. In 2010, we went organic and local with most of our food items and drastically reduced our waste by composting and bringing our own washable plates, utensils and mugs, bypassing the need for disposable paper products.
There is live entertainment for the children. In the past we've had a singer, clowns, the bubble man and even a reptile expert from East Bay Vivarium who thoroughly engaged and educated the entire crowd with a menagerie of creepies, crawlies and critters! We welcome family, friends, extended family, teachers and staff to this warm and wonderful gathering.
Book Fair- Wednesday, Thursday, April 18-19, 2018
There are lots of books to buy and a love for reading being shared. Join us and Book Passage for three days of storytelling, treats, readings, and a fun family night. There are lots of ways to help with this three day long event from selling books to organizing day specific events.
Staff Appreciation Lunch- Friday, May 5, 2018
The Staff Appreciation Luncheon is a lovely way to thank the phenomenal teachers and staff at MdTL. A chairperson and a group of parent volunteers work together to make and serve a beautiful and delicious lunch for our well-deserving teachers and staff. This is a great way to share a favorite dish or just pitch in an hour or two to let them know how much we truly appreciate all they do for our children.
End of Year BBQ- Friday, June 8, 2018
An energetic potluck style barbeque typically at a park or beach that allows families to celebrate the end of the school year.
PARENTS' ASSOCIATION Meetings
