Getting Involved

MdTL parents are asked to volunteer 12 hours per school year.

There are many ways for parents to get involved. While some volunteer opportunities are classroom specific, most volunteering is connected to our community events, from the Halloween Festival to our Annual Auction. Parents are able to sign up to volunteer throughout the school year for jobs that fit their respective schedules, interests, and strengths.

Standing Board Committees

The MdTL Board of Trustees has many standing committees which play an important role within the community. We encourage members of the MdTL community to step forward and participate. If you are interested in joining the Board of Trustees, we ask that you participate on a committee prior to applying. Questions may be addressed to the chair-people or any member of the Board. Parent Association and PA Events

The Parent Association is a vibrant cornerstone of MdTL's community and builds community through education and social events. providing a resource for parents to get involved and stay connected. The Parent Association hosts and supports many beloved events throughout the year, including:

Back to School Welcome in August
Halloween Festival in October
Holiday Party in December
Pancake Breakfast in February
Staff Appreciation Lunch in May
End of Year Pizza in the Park in June
