Tuition and Tuition Assistance

Elementary Activity Fee
This annual fee covers the cost of Elementary-specific activities to include swimming, field trips and going outs, and camping trips (Upper El).

• Lower Elementary Activity Fee: $125
• Upper Elementary Activity Fee: $600

• Before School Care: Available starting at 7:30 a.m. — $19.50 per day
• After School Care: Available until 5:00 p.m. — $19.50 per hour (or any portion thereof)
    *Pre-Primary Before & After School Care is not available.*

Payment Plan:

• A 10% Enrollment Fee/Deposit is due upon enrollment.
• The remaining balance is divided into nine equal installments, due on the 15th of each month from April 15, 2026 through December 15, 2026.

Annual Plan:

• A 10% Enrollment Fee/Deposit is due upon enrollment.
• The remaining balance is due in full by April 15, 2026. 
• A 3% discount is offered for families who pay annually. 

We have chosen Clarity as our Tuition Assistance application provider in order to better serve both our current and prospective families. We are confident that this change is going to make the process of applying for TA easier for families. 

Clarity offers a streamlined, mobile friendly application that can be completed in as short a time as 20 minutes. Additionally, Clarity removes the need to upload your W2 and 1040 by transferring them directly from the IRS. This reduces the amount of information that you will need to enter manually and makes it possible to complete the application quickly and efficiently. 

Step 1
Go to https://app.clarityapp.com/sign-up.

Step 2
Begin your application and add Montessori de Terra Linda to your student applicant entry. You can save your application and log out at any time and return later to complete it.

Step 3
Complete your application and pay the $65 Clarity application fee.

Step 4
Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release your W2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. You'll be asked to authorize the sharing of your tax transcripts and verify your identity. This is a one-time security measure required by the IRS to protect against identity theft and the compromise of personal information. Only those filing US taxes will be prompted to complete this step. Please review the step-by-step walkthrough of this process. 

Step 5
Submit your Clarity application and follow the link to return to your dashboard to upload any additional supporting documents requested by schools. Non-U.S. tax filers may be prompted to upload income verification and other necessary documentation. Keep in mind that at a later date, you may be prompted by the school via Clarity to upload additional documentation as needed.

The Tuition Assistance Committee considers a number of factors when deciding on a Tuition Assistance Award. These factors include the determination of need by Clarity, number of school-age children and a variety of other factors including school funds budgeted for assistance and the number of applicants. Just as in prior years, if your financial circumstances have not changed, you should not see significant changes to your award based on any changes in methodology between the two systems.

Yes, you will need to submit a Clarity application each year in order to qualify for Tuition Assistance; however, Clarity retains your information from previous applications, so it will be even easier to reapply.
