Welcome from our Head of School

Welcome to Montessori de Terra Linda, where for more than fifty years, we have proudly delivered authentic Montessori education to children preschool age through sixth grade. As you are considering MdTL for your child, I want to share some of the aspects of our community for which we are most proud, like our long-term, loyal and talented faculty and staff who are passionate about delivering quality Montessori education every day. In the classrooms, our children gravitate toward beautifully designed, authentic Montessori materials. I am proud that we have a beautiful campus featuring spacious and naturally lit classrooms, natural play grounds, and meticulously prepared environments which allow the children to engage with materials, the outdoors, and each other on their path toward becoming independent, thoughtful, kind and self-reliant learners. As Head of School, I am amazed every day as I watch our children develop into capable learners, as skilled academically as they are socially and emotionally.

MdTL families share that they love the sense of community and what we model for our children: care for the environment and care for one another. As an educator, when I sift through the noise I am continually reaffirmed by the notion that there is nothing better than a Montessori education and environment to prepare children for the demands of our rapidly changing 21st-century society.
