Physical Education

The Elementary Physical Education Program is one that provides children with a safe and encouraging environment.  Here children participate in sports and physical activities that help them to gain confidence, learn new skills, and develop a love for being active.   We engage in a variety of activities that include:

  • Soccer
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Hiking
  • Swimming
  • Cooperative and playground games

Students also progress through the Presidential Fitness Program each year.  As part of our physical fitness program, we prepare for the 5K Marin Human Race held each year in May.

Elementary Physical Education Teacher:  Claire Allen
Claire received her Bachelor of Arts and K-12 certification in Music Education from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.  She spent four summers working at a youth camp outside Yosemite National Park.  Claire also coordinated a program bringing a camp experience to underprivileged children in Stockton, Fresno and Las Vegas.
